CINDY RICHES

At the young age of 8, I received Christ as my Savior with the help of my dad. My parents had also received Christ several years earlier, at a Billy Graham crusade and as any godly parent would do began to teach me about their new found faith. We also began going to a small church in rural Ohio in the Midwest of America. As my parents grew in their faith and understanding, my dad felt lead to seminary to study for the ministry as a pastor and a few years later my family moved to Washington state on the west coast to start a small church. I was 10 years old and the move impacted my life in a great way.

Even as a young child I was interested in different nations and cultures, and dreamed of the day when I too could go and experience the world. Being in a pastor's home there were always visiting missionaries and others who would stay with us for a short time. My dad would often take me and my two older siblings to "mission conferences" to hear and talk to those who had given up the "comforts" of home to go and take the gospel of Jesus around the world. Their talks and personal stories inspired me, even in my youth.

My parents instilled in me a deep affection and respect for the scriptures that to this day I carry with me. My life has revolved around the Church and I have learned and am still learning many things. I have learned that faith is a key element required to follow and obey God's leading.

In 1970 I met Mike through my older brother; little did I realize he would become the "man of my dreams" in 1974!

I spent a short time at Bible College before marrying Mike, and have taken many courses and have spent time studying on my own as well. Always knowing who could ever really exhaust the Scriptures or the knowledge of God.

I have and still enjoy teaching the Scriptures, having taught at retreats, conferences, in my own local church as well as other churches, both at home and internationally. I also minister in prophetic prayer and have prayed for many people around the world, seeing people set free spiritually as well as physical healing in many cases. This brings me great joy as I give away that which God has so freely given to me. I have also lead children's ministry, women's ministry and short term missions in our local church.

The Lord has blessed our marriage with two wonderful daughters, who are devoted to Christ as well.

When I have "down time" I love to read, garden, hike and be out in nature, as well as be with friends and my children. I also like live theater and concerts. In the winter months Mike and I enjoy skiing or watching a good movie. Summer being my favorite season, finds me doing anything that happens outside!!

I am so honored and humbled to be able to help see the Church of Jesus Christ rise to the glory and power she was intended to live in, as well as encourage my brothers and sisters around the world to continue in their pursuit for the Kingdom.
